The snake you see on "El Cosmico" is the Cosmic Serpent - a good luck symbol of the transmutation and healing cosmic energy of life and the divine inner nature (or light) of man. Other cultures - including Native Americans - regard serpents as symbols of wisdom, renewal, rebirth, fertility, strength, transformation, longevity, and health/healing (think of the official symbol of the American Medical Association as well as the healthcare industry as a whole - the “Staff of Asclepius” - which contains a single snake wrapped around a rod).
